Narrator not my favorite

I'm a big Rayanne Thayne fan and looked forward to this book release. Not sure if it's the narrator or the actual script, but I could get into this book. I think the narrator over did the performance as most of the characters came out as whiney when they spoke. Also trying to do the accent was not her strong suite. The story itself wasn't bad, but did not hold my interest as other RT books have done in the past. I hate giving bad reviews, but this one didn't hold me at all.

Story
A life in the service of others is both penance and a blessing. She soothes her personal hell by pulling victims from theirs, helping them on their path to survival; never finding her own. When a crippling blow finally evaporates her last hope, the temptation to give up is strong. Still, she can't find it in her to turn her back on those who need her.

Female narrator - BAD

I just started listening to Freyer Barker books and love the stories. For the most part the narrators have been able to keep my interest in all the other titles I'ved listen to, but Lee LaShawn's narration makes it painful to finish this book. I don't think I'll be able to finish this audible book. Very disappointing!
