Story
Every generation, a journalist has looked deep into the heart of the nuclear military establishment: the technologies, the safeguards, the plans, and the risks. These investigations are vital to how we understand the world we really live in—where one nuclear missile will beget one in return, and where the choreography of the world’s end requires massive decisions made on seconds’ notice with information that is only as good as the intelligence we have. Pulitzer Prize finalist Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario explores this ticking-clock scenario.

Intriguing with a truly horrible scenario story
Reviewed: 11-12-24
Overall, this book was a good read. When I say the scenario story was horrible, I mean that in the sense that hopefully that situation or ones similar ever come to pass.
I do think this book could have used a professional voice actor/reader. Not that Annie did a bad job, but most of the book is spoken in the same tone.
The information presented in this book about how the U.S. government functions in terms of responding to various situations to be the most interesting aspects of the story.

To join the elite ranks of those who write consistently, you need to learn how to stay prolific over the long term. And for that, the number one ingredient is self-discipline.

I’ve struggled on where to start and how to stay motivated when writing. The topics discussed helped me understand how to set better goals, how not to put myself in a box, and much more! I will definitely re-read this book!
