The narrator is horrible
Reviewed: 02-12-25
I love Heather Graham, but I couldn't make it past the 1st chapter. Based on the 1st chapter only, the writing was stilted & written by an inexperienced writer, not an experienced writer, that I know Heather Graham to be. And to make it worse, the narrator was horrible. I feel cheated and beyond disappointed.

The Story was average and the fake southern accent of the narrator made it worse.

A romantic getaway for vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband Bones is cut short when they’re called on to guard a spoiled heiress with a price on her head, and an undead hitman on her trail. What starts as a simple bodyguard job ends up being a fight for survival that neither Cat, nor Bones, saw coming.

It fell flat

I really enjoy Jeaniene Frost stories, but this one just left me wanting... The story was weak and the performance was laughable, but not in a good way. Sorry Jeaniene, if this had been my 1st read of hers, it would have been my last. The only reason that I did not give it a 1 star, is because I have read all of the books in this series, and I feel a sense of obligation. This feels very much like an afterthought.
