Another Triumph in True Crime Tales

I am a long time fan of Ryan Green's work and get excited every time there is a new title for me to devour and this one did not disappoint.
The story follows the life and mind of serial killer Rodney Alcala, giving an insight into what may have driven this outspoken and intense man to photograph, abduct, rape, and murder women and girls. In grueling and unsettling detail, the book describes the crimes that were committed and that Alcala was later convicted for, but even more frightening is the thousands of photographs of unknown people that may or may not have also been a part of his crime spree.
Chilling. Worth a listen.

Story
In July 1981, just days after his release from jail, Clifford Olson Junior unleashed hell on British Columbia. He kidnapped, raped, and killed six children and teenagers in a single month. While the previous missing children had been treated like runaways, the police were now hunting a serial killer. The Beast is a chilling account of Clifford Olson Junior and one of the most disturbing true-crime stories in Canada’s history. Ryan Green’s riveting narrative draws the listener into the real-life horror experienced by the victims and has all the elements of a classic thriller.

Another peek into the mind of the disturbed

Ryan Green's books always seem to provide a clever insight into the mind of the killer more than most true crime. His clever way of writing and mixing the facts of a case with the dramatic elements of the lives of the killers make his tales mesmerizing and impossible to stop listening to. "The Beast" is no exception. His detailed account of Clifford Olson Jr. makes you not only fear him through the terrifying details of his crimes, but also makes you feel like you know him by the description of his life and mind.
Thank you, again, Mr. Green. You are an excellent writer. Highly recommend.
(Also, Steve White is a great reader!)

Story
On February 20, 1926, landlady Clara Newman (60) opened her door to a potential tenant who enquired into the availability of one of her rooms. Despite his grim and bulky appearance, he introduced himself politely and in a soft-spoken voice whilst clutching a Bible in one of his large hands. She invited him in. The moment he stepped into her home, he lunged forward, wrapping his oversized fingers around her throat and forced her to the ground.
