Ryan Green’s The Hunt is a gripping, spine-chilling experience that takes you deep into the world of Robert Hansen, one of America’s most notorious serial killers. The narration is incredibly well-done, capturing the eerie atmosphere and amplifying the horror of Hansen’s monstrous crimes. Listening to this story unfold adds an extra layer of intensity, immersing the listener fully in the terror faced by Hansen’s victims and the relentless pursuit by authorities to bring him down. It’s not only a powerful look at a shocking case but also a reflection on the resilience of those who worked to end Hansen’s reign of terror. For fans of true crime, the Hunt is an unforgettable journey into the darkest corners of the human mind.

I am a long time fan of Ryan Green's work and get excited every time there is a new title for me to devour and this one did not disappoint.

The story follows the life and mind of serial killer Rodney Alcala, giving an insight into what may have driven this outspoken and intense man to photograph, abduct, rape, and murder women and girls. In grueling and unsettling detail, the book describes the crimes that were committed and that Alcala was later convicted for, but even more frightening is the thousands of photographs of unknown people that may or may not have also been a part of his crime spree.

Chilling. Worth a listen.

Ryan Green's books always seem to provide a clever insight into the mind of the killer more than most true crime. His clever way of writing and mixing the facts of a case with the dramatic elements of the lives of the killers make his tales mesmerizing and impossible to stop listening to. "The Beast" is no exception. His detailed account of Clifford Olson Jr. makes you not only fear him through the terrifying details of his crimes, but also makes you feel like you know him by the description of his life and mind.

Thank you, again, Mr. Green. You are an excellent writer. Highly recommend.
(Also, Steve White is a great reader!)
