Patrick Tull’s performance is superb, and he brings to life Steven Maturin, Jack Albury and the characters at the heart of this marvelous adventure. I recommend this audible book to anyone who loves a good tale of the sea.

Story
Seven years ago, readers and listeners around the country fell in love with a singular American voice: Rinker Buck, whose infectious curiosity about history launched him across the West in a covered wagon pulled by mules and propelled his book about the trip, The Oregon Trail, to ten weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. Now, Buck returns to chronicle his latest incredible adventure: building a wooden flatboat from the bygone era of the early 1800s and journeying down the Mississippi River to New Orleans.

An amazing experience

Ms. Taylor‘s warm courageous and inspiring voice engage me totally as I listen to her personal story of moving past the challenges and traumas of her parents, during and after World War II, in order to establish a positive hopeful and loving life for herself and afraid of reaching for the truth, she pushed through a number of mysteries
To discover the sources of inappropriate behaviors and much unhappiness, to determine the realities behind the secrets. Through many of these realities brought pain and sorrow, they also helped her to think more maturely and add compassionate understanding to her love for her mother I commend her strength, resilience and desireTo share her story with others
