Three round trip tickets to Italy, passport woes, spending time in Italy with your two 18 year year-old granddaughters… priceless! Margie led us through the streets of Italy highlighting well known tourist spots as well as local attractions. A once in a lifetime trip for sure! After reading this book, I would love to take my grandchildren to Italy when they are a bit older.

Story
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Story
When Eddie was 12 years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder - and money tighter - since his father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. What he got from her instead was a sweater. "A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater" that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.

This book has a great message about the true meaning of Christmas. Sometimes we go through storms in life but we have to quit feeding the storm and realize we are all worthy of God's love.

Story
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Couldn't finish it

I got to chapter 10 and couldn't finish it. The storyline was depressing about a grumpy old man. Nothing made him happy. He was very critical of others. Life is too short to read books like this.
