Story
Stoic, growly Evan Bailey has enough on his plate. A growing business, a pack of brothers who drive him crazy, a gossip-loving small town, and a rivalry that runs deeper than any family feud. Love? That’s a hard pass. He already learned the hard way that he’s better off alone. Fiona Gallagher has a problem. Or more like 10, but who’s counting? The trouble with her car is just the cherry on top of the crap sundae, but she won’t let that get her down. Besides, she has a plan. Evan Bailey - that brooding custom car builder who happens to hate her father - is going to help her.

I love opposites attract and grumpy men and this has both. It was sweet where it needed to be and dirty in others and I didn’t want it to end!

I completely loved this book. The couple was sweet, smart and so adorable together. This book is steamy so don’t make my mistake and listen with kids around! LOL.
Also: the guy that wrote the one star review was completely wrong. The kind of childhood trauma each MC went through is HARD to get past, it leaves scars. The author handled this with sensitivity and intelligence. At no time did I feel that the characters were sliding into woe is me. So I’m not sure what book that guy listened to, but it wasn’t this one.

Geek girl Elle Wittimer lives and breathes Starfield, the classic science-fiction series she grew up watching with her late father. So when she sees a cosplay contest for a new Starfield movie, she has to enter. The prize? An invitation to the ExcelsiCon Cosplay Ball and a meet-and-greet with the actor slated to play Federation Prince Carmindor in the reboot. With savings from her gig at the Magic Pumpkin food truck and her dad's old costume, Elle's determined to win - unless her stepsisters get there first.

I loved it but...

...the male narrator left something to be desired. While not bad, he just didn’t have the emotional understanding of the female narrator. That honestly wouldn’t have been all that bad of not for the fact that at least a dozen times throughout the book some of the male POV lines were repeated. I though quality assurance was supposed to catch that before it went to the store? Also: he mispronounced Dahlek TWICE. Not normally a big deal except he’s supposed to be a geek and this would be a big deal to a true geek.
The story is wonderful! One of my favorites that is sure to appeal to anyone who is geeky and loves a good romantic story. Even the male narrator couldn’t dampen my love for it.

my daughter's say this is the best book ever!

it's amazing to listen to a middle grade fiction book as an adult and be immediately sucked into the story. The characters feel incredibly real and it very much reminds me of the Nancy Drew books that I couldn't get enough of it as a child. Octavia Spencer is the narrator is second to none. I highly recommend this if you love audio books or if you're trying to introduce your kids to audio books. They won't be able to get enough.
