Story
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Pacing issues
Reviewed: 03-05-23
9 books in and I have no idea who half these people are. Can get past that by just focusing on the context of their actions but the pacing in this book could just not hold my attention. 22 hours of character development and conversation interspersed with mild action followed by a final hour of near schizophrenic battle where the perspective changes every half a paragraph.

Not great
Reviewed: 04-02-22
I apologize for being rash... A very important book. Information is very important but the reader is so unbelievably hard to listen to. A very dry reading style. No cohesive flow, blocky and very rough to listen to. Just incredibly difficult to focus on. I am very interested in learning this material and no matter how hard I try to focus, I find this reader forcing my mind elsewhere and I can't actually hear the information. This is not a personal grievance I'm sure this person is lovely. But this audiobook is not good. Hoping there is a way to refund.
Have a good day.

Too many website drops
Reviewed: 06-12-21
The is a quality listen/read with a lot of interesting and actionable information with plenty of anecdotes to keep the readers attention.
Unfortunately all that is overshadowed by the incessant website drops that constantly break up the flow. Once at the beginning would suffice; by the 6th or 7th time it becomes a bit grating.

Unique, exciting, and thought-provoking
Reviewed: 03-21-19
This was my first venture away from the more western scifi that I'm used to, and it will keep me searching for more in the hope of finding something akin to its brilliance. "The Three-Body Problem" flows effortlessly through the realms of modern theoretical science, skepticism and speculation, culture and evolution, and the nature of reality all while providing a narrative that is so engaging with its dramatic twists I could not pull myself away for nearly two days straight. The material is fairly accessible for anyone with a basic understanding of the foundations of science, and is ultimately as informative as it is engaging. The translation is excellent and the voice acting is good, though some may find it flat. I highly recommend this audiobook to any fan of the genre looking for something significantly more mentally stimulating than your average space marine shoot-em-up.
