Story
Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Rex was sooo annoying
Reviewed: 07-09-24
this story would have been great except for the annoyance of the character Rex. I just couldn't stand hum and the way he treated Tansy all the time, like she was this weak little female. But all in all the story was good.

Story
Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

I loved this story. It did drag a bit in the middle but I didn't give up and continued listening. I did not expect that ending, though. What a HUGE surprise. Thank you for telling your story.

slow starter
Reviewed: 08-24-23
I did enjoy this story, but it was a slow starter. I started it but had to stop because of that. I'm glad I went back to it to finish it. the character development was good and her descriptions of things was good, and the way she went from past to present time worked out well for me. All in all I'd recommend this book.

Story
Rare-book dealer Ashlyn Greer’s affinity for books extends beyond the intoxicating scent of old paper, ink, and leather. She can feel the echoes of the books’ previous owners—an emotional fingerprint only she can read. When Ashlyn discovers a pair of beautifully bound volumes that appear to have never been published, her gift quickly becomes an obsession. Not only is each inscribed with a startling incrimination, but the authors, Hemi and Belle, tell conflicting sides of a tragic romance.

I loved the character development of this story. The jumping back and forth thru time was done very well. The narration was superb. It was heart breaking how her sister could be so nasty and sinister. All in all I recommend this book.

Story
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Now I understand...
Reviewed: 01-13-23
now I understand why Harry & Megan left the so called royal family. not much of a family there to speak of. you ostracize one member and expect the rest to be unfazed. kudos to Harry for telling the truth. I admire him even more now. what a BS life to have BS stories fed to the British press to make you look like a bad person, when actually it was you that was the good person. when death threats come in they should be dealt with immediately. and for his own brother to turn his back on him is the ultimate stab in the back. and his father obviously never cared about him, it was all about grooming "Willie" to be the next prince of Wales. shame on Charles, you don't deserve to have Harry and his children in your life. Charles will one day regret it, but it may be too late. I sincerely hope at least maybe Kate has some bad feelings about everything, but I won't hold my breath on that.

Story
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

This book was an eye opener. If anything remotely like this happens here on US soil we are SCREWED! We are not prepared at all since previous governments have pretty much shut down our military bases all across our nation. I hope to God this does not ever happen.
