The 12 Week Year

Story
Most organizations and individuals work in the context of annual goals and plans; a 12-month execution cycle. Instead, The 12 Week Year avoids the pitfalls and low productivity of annualized thinking. This book redefines your "year" to be 12 weeks long. In 12 weeks, there just isn't enough time to get complacent, and urgency increases and intensifies. The 12 Week Year creates focus and clarity on what matters most and a sense of urgency to do it now. In the end more of the important stuff gets done and the impact on results is profound.

I appreciate the constant reinforcement of the important points and steps

The reading was clear but a little bit boring for me. I would prefer to gift the physical book to people who aren’t avid readers.

The story is really good and I loved all the different themes in the book but it feels unfinished. I don’t like that.

Story
It’s fair to say that Maddie’s life in London is far from rewarding. With a mother who spends most of her time in Ghana (yet still somehow manages to be overbearing), Maddie is the primary caretaker for her father, who suffers from advanced stage Parkinson’s. At work, her boss is a nightmare and Maddie is tired of always being the only Black person in every meeting.

This needs to be required reading for all women. I learned so much. I owned a ‘Fight for Female’ t-shirt and I had no idea what I was coming into agreement with. My eyes are wide open! Also, this messaging
Aligns with what I have been sensing. The dismantling of the family unit continues to result in a broken society. As women we need to get back to changing our world for the better and the entire world will start to change.
