Story
King. Warrior. Lover. Brian Boru was stronger, braver, and wiser than all other men-the greatest king Ireland has ever known. Out of the mists of the country's most violent age, he merged to lead his people to the peak of their golden era. His women were as remarkable as his adventures: Fiona, the druidess with mystical powers; Deirdre, beautiful victim of a Norse invader's brutal lust; Gormlaith, six-foot, red-haired goddess of sensuality.

The live scenes with Boru and his wives. they were too long and seemed to serve no purpose. i felt like i was reading a dime romance novel.

Story
We live in a fractured country, a country in which identity politics, creeping socialist policies, toxic social media, and the vast partisan divide threaten the very fabric of America. After decades of political decay and of losing sight of our first principles, the American people are suffering from runaway debt, increased rates of depression, broken families, moral decay, and more. In Jesus Politics, Phil Robertson provides an alternate path: a radical call for Christians to use their freedoms to advance the agenda of the King and win back the divided soul of America.

Another surprise legal thriller
Reviewed: 08-26-22
Jake Brigance and the cast of characters from prior legal thrillers in Clanton, MS return. There are three or four stories told but one main story. this is a Grisham pattern. The first seven chapters go by fast. then as the stories develop the next 30 chapters slow down leaving me to wonder 'where is the main story going?' Then the excitement of a big trial picks up the pace to where I didnt want to put the book down during the final 17 chapters.

Story
We expect our judges to be honest and wise. Their integrity and impartiality are the bedrock of the entire judicial system. We trust them to ensure fair trials, to protect the rights of all litigants, to punish those who do wrong, and to oversee the orderly and efficient flow of justice. But what happens when a judge bends the law or takes a bribe? It’s rare, but it happens. Lacy Stoltz is an investigator for the Florida Board on Judicial Conduct. She is a lawyer, not a cop, and it is her job to respond to complaints dealing with judicial misconduct.

Cassandra Campbell reads Male roles well
Reviewed: 07-13-19
There are Many roles in this long novel. Cassandra Campbell gives a Different voice for each role, which is extremely difficult to do. There are especially many male roles that she had to read. This very deep novel looks into the cracks and crevices of a small unknown syndicat and a crooked judge in the panhandle of Florida that controls most anything related to hotels, liquor, Indian casinos and other venues.

Author Kevin Lowry's journey to Catholicism is fascinating, often funny, and demonstrates God's unfailing, patient love for all of us. A preacher's kid at a Catholic university, Kevin Lowry settled into a double major in beer and billiards soon followed by uncomfortable run-ins with pious students, failing grades, increasing anxiety, a missing night, and the startling realization that some fellow students actually attended Mass the morning after a party instead of sleeping it off. After getting kicked out, Kevin got his act together, got the MBA, and also got the girl.

On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

hardcore legal thriller.

I loved it because it was more of a detective story than it was a legal thriller. Sebastian Rudd is creative and Brash as a lawyer. the other characters are very mysterious. the short stories tend to skip around a bit so they can be hard to follow.
