Enjoyable and Engaging

Felice Stevens is a gifted author who writes about exciting men and their beautiful love stories. Rescued is no exception! The story of Jason and Ryder is a straight to gay, friends to lovers romance with plenty of hot sex thrown in. After reading the book first and LOVING it, I was excited to listen to the story. But, I have to admit, the narration was lacking. He couldn’t quite keep me interested in the story and it took longer to listen to than other stories I have listened to.

Story
Returning home to sleepy Umberland was supposed to be temporary - just to see my family before securing a job in the city. But when my brother's old best friend and my teen crush, Ian Barrett, is here, too, I find myself making excuses to stick around a little longer. He's still everything I've ever wanted, but this former baseball star is also a big-time player....if you know what I mean. I don't know what Ian would ever see in steady, reliable Grant Rainier.

This was my first book by Ashton Cade and I’m hooked. Her writing style is very close to some of my favorite authors and if she continues to use Michael Dean to bring her words to voice, then I’m a fan for life!

Story
Presley is stuck in neutral and lonelier than ever. When his best friend suggests a support group to work through his grief, Presley agrees but without much hope; nothing has helped before. At the first meeting, he’s instantly attracted to Nate and struggles not to fall so far, so fast. Nate Sherman is only attending a support group to get his family off his back. True, he hasn’t slept through the night in over three years, but he has reasons. Discovering your father — the man you love and idolize — is a liar will do that. No wonder Nate has trust issues.

Fool for Love
Reviewed: 04-25-20
Felice Stevens has an uncanny way of making her characters come to life in words. The struggle it took for these two broken men to become whole again. The anguish each man went through to find their truths. So beautifully represented in this story.
With that being said, I could have used a little more passion in the voice of the narrator. There were times I found myself drifting off and had to go back to re-listen to parts.
Overall I loved the story. Thank you, again, Felice Stevens for another book well done!
