Mercy vs. Justice
Reviewed: 03-24-07
Jacquelyn Mitchard captures the theme of revenge vs. forgiveness with a fresh approach. That she chose a young Mormon woman as her protagonist (rather than the usual- male) makes for a subtle and nuanced read. You'll be surprised, informed, entertained and satisfied with the results. I found this to be one of my favorites at audible. A great book club book.

Story
In late 2003, in his column in Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King called The Memory of Running "the best novel you won't read this year." This glowing endorsement of the audiobook resulted in Ron McLarty receiving a $2 million two-book deal from Viking Penguin. Also, Warner Brothers has shelled out big bucks for the movie rights to The Memory of Running, for which McLarty will write the script.

To think that this title languished in the rejection boxes of this world's publishers is a crime. Thank you Thank you Thank you for unearthing this gem. McLarty's is a voice that breathes life into his already very human story.

Great Story- Fantastic Narration

I've passed over this book for months fearing that it was the latest darling of the book club set that would leave me asking, "what was the plot again? Oh really."
Count me among the converted.
The world is fortunate to find a new writer who speaks in a classic style. It is only helped by the outstanding narration by Jenna Lamia. Rarely does author and narrator combine so superbly.

American Comedy Award-winner Brian Regan lights up the stage in this live performance. He has been on Letterman five times, the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and had his own comedy special on Showtime called Something's Wrong with the Regan Boy. In his Playboy interview, Dennis Miller named Regan one of his favorite comedians. As he performs around the country, people are constantly requesting favorite routines. This recording answers that call.

Why isn't he super famous? Simply put, if Brian Regan isn't the funniest man alive then I've not heard his match- and this is but a small sample of what he can do. Network television's loss is the Audible listener's gain.
