Story
It is a very exciting day in the house of the Millers. Suzy’s cousin, Deliah, is visiting them. She brought her lucky charm along so it will protect her. Grandma Mary explains to Suzy and Deliah with the scripture what God thinks about lucky charms, and compares it with a story from the Old Testament. This is a great book if your child is struggling to trust God with all their heart and will show them what putting yourself in God’s hands could look like. It explains what lucky charms are and how they can be no help to us.

A Bit Heavy for Young Children
Reviewed: 02-15-22
This is a very straightforward faith lesson and this story would be very useful for if your own child may have come into experience of having belief in a lucky item or such. Though, I found it a bit heavy in context and condescending for young children, I worry if some children would feel extreme emotions if they made a similar error. I feel it is definitely more appropriate for age 6 and above, My 3 year old lost understanding quite quickly and couldn't keep up with the story within the story. Again, this would be a useful tool in correcting an error for an older child . A good listen as an audiobook in the car and a follow up conversation while driving.
