Story

Whew! This book kept me on my toes. Being from Chicago I could of course imagine each location described and that made the story come to life easily. Cynthia Pelayo’s writing style is easy to read and captures you from the first sentence.

Hands down best read of 2022

Wow!!! Namina Forna out did herself with this one. The bar was high given how well written and developed The Gilded Ones is, but this one was phenomenal. I was legit talking back to the book and gasping in shock so much. Lol. The narrator is such a perfect match for this book too. Kept me engaged the whole time. I don’t want to accidentally post spoilers, so I’ll say no more.
