Story
My parents warned me to never date a coworker, but did I listen? Oh, no. I thought Jackson Montgomery and I had a forever kind of thing going. We even have the cutest couple's name, PB & J, short for Presley Benson and Jackson. I guess he didn't think it was all that cute because he just broke up with me. To make matters worse, he's the newly appointed vice principal for the school where I teach drama, which makes him my boss. That probably means he won't want to make out in the prop room anymore.

Good but not great

I wanted to love it but the amount of time the book mentions making out in various places is just ridiculous. Like, they are all adults but acting like teenagers and also, she’s talking about how often they made out while at work in school? It might just be me but I genuinely felt really uncomfortable with how much she focused on how many places they’d sneak away too… like lady, please stop.

Story
Princess Aubrey of Malquar has loved Grady Basset since they were kids. She followed him and her brother around wherever they went; she wrote his name in her diary repeatedly; and she even practiced saying her name with his last name—for years. There's only one problem. Grady has never shown any romantic interest in her. As the son of the king's secretary, Grady grew up playing with the royal children. His best friend is Prince Alistair, the second in line for the throne. While he's drawn to Princess Bree, he knows that there's no way they can be together. Bree's station is too far above his.

The most annoying banter. This book makes Bree look so dumb and desperate, it ruined the story for me. And everyone continues to make her seem even more pathetic by constantly saying how obsessed she was with Grady and how much he doesn’t care about her. She genuinely had no shame and it was uncomfortable to read. I liked the other books but this is my least favorite by far.

Great narration, terrible narrative

I’m sorry, I wanted to like this story. However, this was absolutely awful. The main character is a very whiny girl with no sense of self worth whatsoever and yet she continues to put herself in situations where she’s the target of bullying (seeking out the attention of people who have been clear that they don’t like her).
I just don’t understand the point of this book. There truly is no need for this character to interact with these people beyond the necessities… I’m trying to be more understanding but it’s just not possible.

Story
Look up the word "nerd" and you'll find Lily Bailey's picture. She's got one goal: first stop valedictorian, next stop Harvard. Until a stint in the hospital from too much stress lands her in the last place a klutz like her ever expected to be: salsa dance lessons. Look up the word "popular" and you'll find Stone Torres's picture. His life seems perfect - star of the football team, small-town hero, lots of friends. But his family is struggling to make ends meet, so if pitching in at his mom's dance studio helps, he'll do it.

The male narrator! :(
Reviewed: 12-30-23
I’m sorry, I will have to read the book if I really want to finish this story because the male narrator is clearly Australian or English or something else and trying to put on some sort of southern accent which is COMPLETELY TERRIBLE. I mean truly, whoever chose this person for this story clearly hadn’t listen to the recording. Either pick someone else, or allow him to speak in his native tongue. Cause this? Awful. And I don’t mean to sound ugly. I just cannot listen to this.
