Story
Find the missing. Fear the found. Three months have passed since the aliens' arrival, but little has changed in the skies. Motherships still hover, impervious to attack and communication. Spherical shuttles ferry about with unclear intentions. But the abductions of select humans have ended, and most of those taken have been returned - dazed, incoherent, and prophesying glory or doom, but home where they belong. Still, nine seemingly unconnected people remain missing.

Story
Dylan Townsend stands on the beach watching commercial jets fall out of the sky like oak leaves twirling in the wind. A wing shears off the one closest to the shore just before it splashes down in the sea. Why was she telling him this outlandish story? What sort of tourist agency would offer people a front row seat to the end of the world? More importantly, why would anyone book such a vacation if there wasn't any way home afterward?

When I first got into the story, I thought I got the wrong book. Nothing made much sense. The initial transition into the story was a bit confusing. I enjoyed the story. It was a bit different from others of this type. There were some odd story moments but overall it was enjoyable.

Story
Ensign Andrew Dahl has just been assigned to the Universal Union Capital Ship Intrepid, flagship of the Universal Union since the year 2456. Life couldn’t be better…until Andrew begins to pick up on the facts that (1) every Away Mission involves some kind of lethal confrontation with alien forces; (2) the ship’s captain, its chief science officer, and the handsome Lieutenant Kerensky always survive these confrontations; and (3) at least one low-ranked crew member is, sadly, always killed.

Story
Emma wakes in a hospital, with no memory of what came before. Her husband, Declan, a powerful, seductive man, provides her with new memories, but her dreams contradict his stories, showing her a past life she can't believe possible: memories of war, of a camp where girls are trained to be wives, of love for another man. Something inside her tells her not to speak of this, but she does not know why. She only knows she is at war with herself. Suppressing those dreams during daylight hours, Emma lets Declan mold her into a happily married woman and begins to fall in love with him.

I mainly selected this audio book because Khristine Hvam is the narrator. This is the first book in the series. The possibilities for the story line are wide open. While this book overall was enjoyable, I will have to read the second book before I can say whether I really like it or not.

Story
They are coming. The countdown has begun. First visible only as blips on a telescope image, the discovery of objects approaching from Jupiter's orbit immediately sets humanity on edge. NASA doesn't even bother to deny the alien ships' existence. The popular Astral space app (broadcasting from the far side of the moon and accessible by anyone with Internet) has already shown the populace what is coming.

This is an interesting story. The story moved along fairly quickly. Everything seems to work out for this group of runners. Meyer's foresight was very beneficial to the situation at hand. The profile of each character is beginning to emerge. The narrator does an excellent job and has become one of my favorites. I have a couple more books in my queue but will look forward to reading book 2.

While this is an interesting story, I am not sure if I need to continue reading. The story has many directions it can go. The character fits into his new environment really well and it is believable. I may continue with the series in the distant future.

I enjoyed the story. This book filled in the missing pieces of the puzzle. Even though I had an idea of how it would turn out, there were still a few surprises I did not count on. Too bad the book stories are over, but I will watch the movies to remind me of the complete story. I enjoyed this book and the others in the series.

Story
Two days before Christmas 1996, the broken, battered body of Sophie Toscan du Plantier was found outside her vacation home in West Cork, a serene region on Ireland’s idyllic southern coast. Decades later, no one has been charged with the murder, but the aggrieved inhabitants of West Cork are convinced they know who did it - and he still lives among them.

Story
Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

After I got settled in, I realized that I enjoyed this book. There are quite a few pieces that you have to put together. You have to keep your mind open to the possibilities. This book is not entirely based on fact. There are some tense moments and some humorous ones as well. The narrator did a great job with the story and the afterwords. I would watch this story in movie form, if it ever was made into a movie.
