Story
Renowned as much for her wit and satirical social commentary as for her stories of love and romance, Jane Austen remains unfailingly relevant and one of Britain’s best loved authors. In this Audible Original collection, an all-star list of narrators (Billie Piper, Claire Foy, Emma Thompson, Florence Pugh and Gugu Mbatha-Raw) capture Austen’s pin-sharp humour and tone in these dramatisations of her six beloved novels accompanied by a full cast.

I loved the mixture of dialogue, Austen’s prose, and music! The characters come through brilliantly.

Story
Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy immediately regrets his insult to Elizabeth Bennet at the Meryton Assembly, and takes the opportunity during a chance meeting on Oakham Mount to apologize. Reticent to so easily forgive Darcy's boorish behavior, Elizabeth announces that she will consider Darcy's request after further studying his actions. Darcy impulsively offers to complete six labors chosen by Elizabeth, in the tradition of the 12 labors of Hercules, to demonstrate that he can be a better man.

A low angst story!

I loved the “open book” of Fitzwilliam Darcy! There was enough scariness to keep the suspense rolling, but on the whole it was a sunny story!

Great fun

I loved meeting new characters and seeing much less of Caroline Bingley than expected. Caroline had some justice dealt to her as well. The adult content was pure fun, some of it perhaps unrealistic for an early 19th century couple in the higher social circles, but who knows? Delightful!
