EVERY black woman who has any connection with the black church needs to read this book. Period. The way Candice weaves in the concepts of makeup between the stories of vulnerability and truth was nothing short of excellent. the length is perfect and the message is dynamic and thought provoking.

Story
Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

I've attempted to READ this book several times over my life and finally did so via this platform. I've always been inspired by Malcolm X but El Hajj Malik Shabazz was the true gem!

Story
Forgive and forget. It should be easy to do—so why don’t we do it? The father who wasn’t always there for us. The mother who punished us. The spouse who betrayed us. The children who will leave us behind. Whoever and whatever the source of hurt, there is always a path to forgiveness. But too often, instead of forgiving, too many of us live with resentments and grudges that keep us stuck, robbing us of joy, peace, and purpose.

What did you love best about Let It Go?
I loved that it was narrated by the author. It's a relevant topic for anyone struggling with moving forward in their lives.
What did you like best about this story?
Pastor Jakes uses so many different angles to address the subject of forgiveness. It's not a religious book filled with preaching and scripture but rather a story of stories aimed at getting the listener to a place of healing and overall forgiveness.
Have you listened to any of T. D. Jakes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
If by listened you mean heard him speak - yes. If by listened you mean through audiobook - no.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me really think about where I am in my life and how forgiving other but more importantly myself can and will impact my future. I smirked and shook my head in agreement/understanding MANY times.
Any additional comments?
Overall EXCELLENT publication.
