Story
In this first installment of the Brad Madison novel series, Madison finds himself defending Patrick Strickland against a mounting evidence base. Despite Strickland claiming he has no criminal connections, there are clear signs his involvement in organized crime runs deep. When the case receives national attention, the underbelly of power in LA is thrown into the limelight. Madison fights desperately to find the one piece of evidence that will prove his client's innocence. But where there's power, there's danger. The further Madison digs for the truth, the more he puts his life at risk.

Lots of twists and turns

I loved everything about this book. The story line never dragged on , and it kept me very intrigued. The book was very well written. The narrator tho, sometimes his voice got SO low it was impossible to understand what he was saying. This happened many times throughout the listen. Even tho the narrator had me annoyed at times with his too deep whisper voice, it didn’t deter me. I just bought book 2 and 3 and can’t wait to listen.

Couldn’t get past the narrator

I have no idea if this book was good or not, because I couldn’t get past the first chapter due to the narrator’s voice. Her voice is flat and boring, I had to return it.
