I haven’t been a fan of dramatized audio stories in the past but this was very well done. The story was interesting and the pacing was really good. I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this kept my interest the whole time

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read/listened to in terms of humanizing the victims and not glorifying a killer. The amount of research in this book is incredible. It offers a unique perspective on these five victims as well as life in the late 1800s. Anyone who says they are a fan of true crime absolutely should read this book.

I was very interested to read this book, especially given the access the author had to little. However, I struggled to finish listening this book and overall found it very boring. The writing style was very stream of consciousness. Maybe it would be different if you read the book instead of listening to it but I found it hard to tell when she was switching point of view from herself, little or the victims. There were a lot a lists which were redundant. I understand if her goal was to try to remember the victims but by calling them by the name little gave them, it didn’t feel like they were being remembered for who they were. It felt like the book really struggled between presenting the victims as people and presenting little’s versions of events. I also did not care to hear how he described his penis so much, it was very unnecessary.

This book is terrible. It should have a trigger warning on it for glamorization of substance use and child sexual assault. I was barely able to get more than a half hour into this story. I had to stop listening at the part where she is sexually assaulted as an 8 year old and the (male) author describes it like just a coming of age story. This story is about abuse of a child and shouldn’t be considered otherwise.

This book is both very interesting to listen to and also very helpful. Evidence is actually laid out in a way that would let you make a decision. Every pregnant woman should read this.

Bought this book after watching two seasons of The Great on Hulu. This book details how much more amazing Catherine was then the character depicted in the show. It’s so hard to imagine all the life experiences she had. This book is a bit long but overall really well done and able to hold my attention throughout.

I love listening to LPOTL podcast which is why I bought this book. I was not disappointed. The research Marcus park and their assistants do is incredible. Obviously these are all the heavy hitter serial killers but I love what marcus brings to their stories.

This book is a must read for every mother and anyone who knows a mother. Dr. Tuteur addresses so many things that the natural parenting movement makes mothers feel guilty about and she uses science to address why their arguments are not as powerful as they make them seem.

Loved this book. Great background on Karen and Georgia with lots of non-obnoxious helpful life advice. Not a lot of true crime in this book though, but that’s not what this book is about
