Great narration and emotion

I loved this book in written form, but Jake and Bridget really amped up this story with the different accents and the emotion I could feel through their words. It made everything that was happening even more heartbreaking and frustrating hearing it read in a different tone than how I read in my head. Even the Cliffhanger, although amazing in the book, hit differently to me and makes me even more excited for the next book to release.

Her husband’s become a problem, and when the team of men she’s hired can’t seal the deal, I’m brought in for some assistance. When my present starts to collide a bit too much with my past, I’ve got to hope my skills are sharp enough to keep me in one piece.

So glad this was finally made into an audiobook!

I'm a huge fan of dark books and this series is high up on my list. I've been a fan since it was a part of the Violent Tendencies anthology and I continued reading as Suki added onto the already amazing story to release it as a full book. Now on audio, it's just as great and the narrators did such a wonderful job on it. The accents made by both Greenfield and Laurel were so entertaining and spot on. I loved hearing how each switched between the character during dialogue and how the first POV of each chapter determined who would be voicing all the characters for that particular chapter. Incredible.

I was so close to getting everything I wanted - an internship with my uncle, an officer with the special-ops team. If it weren't for a stupid boy that had to go and make me angry, causing me to turn a certain part of his anatomy purple and sparkly, I wouldn't have accidentally revealed to my family what I really was. What I had been hiding.

Didn't think this 1st book could get any better.

I'm a huge fan of this series, so finding out it was beginning to be added on audible made me unbelievably happy. Kelsey writes amazing characters and Katie's narration was seriously spot on as she changed her voice for each character. The combination of them both made this a very enjoyable book to listen to! I look forward to when the other books in the series are added.
