Stand and deliver

I have read many motivational books and this was one of the best. Cardone delivers his material with a great deal of enthusiasm. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a book to really pump them up.

Story
Every family has its problems. But even among the most troubled, the Plumb family stands out as spectacularly dysfunctional. Years of simmering tensions finally reach a breaking point on an unseasonably cold afternoon in New York City as Melody, Beatrice, and Jack Plumb gather to confront their charismatic and reckless older brother, Leo, freshly released from rehab. Months earlier, an inebriated Leo got behind the wheel of a car with a 19-year-old waitress as his passenger.

Current yet timeless

The author really trusted her story. Too many books feel they need to rely on gimmicks such as murder or adultery. Ms. Sweeney builds a wonderful Nest from one family's joy and pain.

Would you listen to The Millionaire Mind again? Why?
I am on my third time listening to this book it is packed full of great insights.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Millionaire Mind?
Stanley does a great job of debunking many myths about the wealthy.
What about Cotter Smith’s performance did you like?
This narrator has a great voice, never rushes he adds a lot to the book.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Some of the myths surrounding the wealthy are pretty funny. One example is that they only use luxury goods... I like how he refers to many adult toys as artifacts.
Any additional comments?
The millionaires mind and the millionaire next door are fantastic personal-finance books. They are different from most that treat their audiences like they are dumb or have terrible credit.... This is a rare business book there are many great insights and it is well-written!
