Story
In Alan Partridge: Nomad, Alan dons his boots, windcheater and scarf and embarks on an odyssey through a place he once knew - it's called Britain - intent on completing a journey of immense personal significance. Diarising his ramble in the form of a 'journey journal', Alan details the people and places he encounters, ruminates on matters large and small and, on a final leg fraught with danger, becomes not a man (because he was one to start off with) but a better, more inspiring example of a man.

Partridge being partridge - I’ve listened to it twice already - my family don’t think it’s funny - but what do you expect from Americans.

Story
David Mitchell, who you may know for his inappropriate anger on every TV panel show except Never Mind the Buzzcocks, his look of permanent discomfort on C4 sex comedy Peep Show, his online commenter-baiting in The Observer or just for wearing a stick-on moustache in That Mitchell and Webb Look, has written a book about his life.

Self indulgent & dull

Loved peep show so thought this would be a laugh - wrong. It became clear from listening to this book that DM actually is his peep show character… & there’s not really much more… he just got lucky to be given the part that he was born to play. The book is just self indulgent and dull. He’s just cashing in.

Story
Hello! I’m Brian Limond, aka Limmy. You might know me from Limmy’s Show. Or you might not know me at all. Don’t worry if you don’t. They asked me to write a book about mental health, because I sometimes talk about my mental health in tweets and interviews, like suicidal thoughts and anxiety, and what I’ve done to try to deal with it. I said to them, oh, I don’t know if I could fill a whole book with just that. But how’s about I write a general autobiography type of thing, and all the mental health stuff will naturally appear along the way?

Just because someone grew up a bit rough & nedish doesn’t make them or their life unique or interesting. Nothing v clever here, it’s mundane & dull.
