Story
Romance can be a little complicated when you get sucked into a wormhole. Just ask high school English teacher June Flint. One little solar flare happens and suddenly you find yourself 85 years in the future. Eighty-five years from your dream job. Your ailing mother whose only companion in this world is you. Your favorite stuffed-crust pizza from DeLucia’s on Sunday nights. But when June’s cell phone inexplicably picks up a signal, she’s able to call back to the present—more specifically, four weeks before she accidentally time traveled.

Sweet, poignant and fun

Don’t hesitate to listen to this book. This multi-narrative style with subtle sound effects is one of my new favorites. Each book performed this way reminds me of what early radio stories must have been. The actors are all phenomenal. The pacing is lovely. And the story is surprisingly deep. I want to read poetry now. Never has time travel seemed so realistic and possible.

Story
Some wolves are born, others are made. That’s me. I was bitten, forced into this life against my will. Worse still, my wolf is an alpha female, meant to rule. But existing pack prejudices mean that every battle is fought uphill. Then there’s the fact that alpha females take on five mates. Five! I’ve never even had a serious boyfriend, and now everyone expects me to manage five? I have to find myself and my fated mates, all while navigating a dark academy with haunted halls and vicious spirits.

Horrible male narrator
Reviewed: 04-05-23
I’m actually interested enough in the plot that I will seek out this book to read on my own. But I was hoping to listen to it. The female narrator is fine but the male narrator is so bad that I literally had to stop and return the books. I’ve never done that. I honestly can’t tell if his narration is bad or simply the editing of his parts. It’s as though everything is one long sentence and there is no punctuation.

Good plot idea, juvenile story

Maybe my 13 year old would like it. But I almost hesitate to say that because I don’t want to insult her. Lol. I’m a serial finisher but I’m walking away with no regrets after the first book. The combo of story and narrator was painful. I’m not sure which made it worse.

Not up to the Penny Reid standard
Reviewed: 06-27-19
I will start by saying I a HUGE fan of Penny Reid. I adore the Winston Brothers and the Knitting in the City Series. She has set the bar high. I considered her a one click author. I now feel like I need to take that back. I read/listened to the first two installments (not books) of this series and simply cannot finish it.
I RARELY let a series go unfinished but I simply couldn’t take anymore of the huge angst given off by the main characters. They were in the most immature relationship I’ve read in a long time. I kept waiting for character development to redeem the behavior of especially the male lead. But after two books I’m done with them.
I’m also disappointed that this story is split over multiple books. The author is known for her slow burn but never boring stories. This did neither and split the one story I would expect from her into multiple books. It feels like a way to make more money and I don’t appreciate that. I am normally thrilled to purchase each of her books. But this story should be one book. And even then I would say that this is NOT a great book given what I have previously stated and what other reviewers have said.
Sadly disappointed and I’ll be more careful with her books in the future.

Story
Sienna Diaz is everyone's favorite "fat" funny lady. The movie studio executives can't explain it, but her films are out-grossing all the fit and trim headliners and Hollywood's most beautiful elite. The simple truth is, everyone loves plus-sized Sienna. But she has a problem: she can't read maps and her sense of direction is almost as bad as her comedic timing is stellar. Therefore, when Sienna's latest starring role takes her to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, she finds herself continually lost.

Every time I think I’ve read my favorite story of Penny Reid’s, then I read another. And I have a new favorite. The pacing of this story was perfect was just enough drama to balance out a developing relationship. It also set up future characters and their stories. Bravo.

Story
There are three things you need to know about Ashley Winston: 1) She has six brothers and they all have beards, 2) She is a reader, and 3) She knows how to knit. Former beauty queen, Ashley Winston’s preferred coping strategy is escapism. She escaped her Tennessee small town, loathsome father, and six brothers eight years ago. Now she escapes life daily via her Amazon kindle one-click addiction. However, when a family tragedy forces her to return home, Ashley can’t escape the notice of Drew Runous

Excellent narrator

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and found the narrator particularly strong. Her ability to seamlessly weave from character to character was soothing. And I’ve never enjoyed poetry more; her inflection made it come alive. As a side note, I’m quite glad that I studied philosophy in college so much as it made this story even more enjoyable. I didn’t realize that I needed a philosophical romance in my life.

Story
After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan—a.k.a. Sir McHotpants—witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn—the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies—to make her an offer she can't refuse.

This story was delightful but particularly so because of the narrator. She captured the characters’ quirks perfectly.
