Story
Having entered the British Navy at the age of 12, Horatio Lord Nelson achieved the rank of captain at the age of 20. As captain, he was quickly recognized as a magnetic and controversial figure. He triumphed at Cape St. Vincent and the Nile, but failed at Tenefife and Boulogne. With the glories of Copenhagen and Trafalgar yet ahead of him, his ardent passion for Emma Hamilton, the wife of a British Ambassador, cast a heavy shadow over his career.

Essential reading to understand Nelson the man

A great yarn about a great man. Could have used some foot notes to track further details and to explain nautical terms.

Story
The life of Princess May of Teck is one of the great Cinderella stories in history. From a family of impoverished nobility, she was chosen by Queen Victoria as the bride for her eldest grandson, the scandalous Duke of Clarence, heir to the throne, who died mysteriously before their marriage. Despite this setback, she became queen, mother of two kings, grandmother of the current queen, and a lasting symbol of the majesty of the British throne.

As a supporting cast member to history she is not an easy figure to write about. But Ms Edwards pulls it off.

Story
Kathleen "Kick" Kennedy was the incandescent life force of the fabled Kennedy family, her father's acknowledged "favorite of all the children" and her brother Jack's "psychological twin". She was the Kennedy of Kennedys, sure of her privilege, magnetically charming, and somehow not quite like anyone else on whatever stage she happened to grace.

Poorly Produced

What disappointed you about Kick Kennedy?
Mispronounced so many names and places. Reader obviously does not know anything about Britain then or now.
Has Kick Kennedy turned you off from other books in this genre?
No not at all.
Would you be willing to try another one of Eliza Foss’s performances?
Probably not.
Any additional comments?
Kik Kennedy was not a very appealing person. Rather shallow and not that interesting.
