Story
The first letter arrived the day my husband was buried. It was postmarked from the state penitentiary, and contained a single sentence: I’ll wait forever if I have to. It was signed by Dante, a man I didn’t know. Out of simple curiosity, I wrote back to ask him what exactly he was waiting for. His reply? You.

The narrators were amazing. The story was hot and steamy. There were sections that were creepy as hell and kept me awake at night. Overall a great book with a crazy twist.

Story
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least.

Slow Start but GREAT story!
Reviewed: 11-20-19
Honestly, the author took a long time building each of her characters and building her story. I was honestly very bored in the beginning as it seemed repetitive and redundant at first. I almost stopped listening but didn't have the time to look up another audiobook so I just continued this one and I'm happy I hung in there! Without ruining anything.. in summary it's a very slow beginning but the author ramps everything up eventually and ties in the entire book leaving you with so many emotions. I literally cried my eyes out. Definitely a great storyline. The narrator, Tavia Gilbert also did a great job of telling the story with perfect voice changes for each character that kept the listeners engaged!

My name is Theo, and I'm a resident of Oasis, the last habitable area on Earth. It's meant to be a paradise, a place where we are all content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues us.

Story
In a world where nothing supernatural exists, Tess Eckhart is positive she's going crazy. After her complete freak-out at a high school party, her family is too. So much that they pack their bags and move across the country, next to a nationally-renowned facility for the mentally ill. Tess is determined to fit in at her new school, despite the whispers and stares. But when it comes to Luka Williams, a reluctantly popular boy in her class, she's unused to a stare that intense.

Great Listen!

Great futuristic and alternative world with good vs. evil. The entire series kept me sitting at the edge of my seat, wondering what’s coming next. There were some parts I felt was a bit drawn out in the first and second books, where I felt Ganshert could’ve sped up a bit but it’s mostly because I just wanted to know what happens next! Regardless, I finished the series in about a week and I’d definitely recommend it! Target audience is probably young adult but I think even adults would enjoy this book with its mixed romance, adventure and supernatural themes. Hands down one of the best series I’ve read in SUCH A LONG TIME it was refreshing to say the least!
Heather Masters narrated the book perfectly, truly bringing Ganshert’s books to life.

Tess Eckhart isn't crazy. She's not suffering from psychosis. She and Luka Williams are part of The Gifting. Before they can find out what that means, the man with all the answers turns up dead. The only thing he left behind? A few patient files that lead to the nation's most lawless city.

Story
Luka isn't dead. He's not beyond saving. Tess knows because she saw him with her own eyes. After what she saw, she's sure of one thing: If they don't rescue him soon, Luka won't be Luka anymore. If only she could convince the other members of the hub. They're not sure Tess saw what she claims she saw. And they're preoccupied by the fact that their kind is being systematically eradicated. Answers lie in an ancient prophecy, one that revolves around a 17-year-old girl who never asked for any of this.
