Story
This landmark book, first published in 1978, remains one of the most influential books in the Social Sciences, particularly Ethnic Studies and Postcolonialism. Said is best known for describing and critiquing "Orientalism", which he perceived as a constellation of false assumptions underlying Western attitudes toward the East. In Orientalism Said claimed a "subtle and persistent Eurocentric prejudice against Arabo-Islamic peoples and their culture."

I didn’t have expectations for this book nor know much about it when a friend recommended it but I am so happy they did. At times it sounds like a dive bar tale after a few too many and at other points it has you really pondering the meaning of life. Great tidbits of anthropology, history, wisdom, and exercise science. Time for a run!

Story
In 2014, the world witnessed the start of a mysterious series of cyberattacks. Targeting American utility companies, NATO, and electric grids in Eastern Europe, the strikes grew ever more brazen. They culminated in the summer of 2017, when the malware known as NotPetya was unleashed, penetrating, disrupting, and paralyzing some of the world's largest businesses—from drug manufacturers to software developers to shipping companies. At the attack's epicenter in Ukraine, ATMs froze. The railway and postal systems shut down. Hospitals went dark.

Read Greenberg’s Wired article about Hutchins/Wanna Cry which ultimately led me to his book. Cannot believe how advanced cyber warfare is already… meaning we are probably barely scratching the surface. Very comprehensive book. Excellent journalism. Thrilling story writing. Look forward to future work on this topic by Greenberg.

Solid compilation of high yield info

A+ collection of data. Way too much fluff in the beginning - actually almost stopped reading (sorry :/) but so glad I didn’t. Even if you’re not interested in syndicating this information is very applicable to MF on smaller scales and actually forces you to consider your prospective investment from a different set of eyes (as if you had investors to justify your decisions to). Bought the book to have a physical reference. Thank ya much

Most high yield RE book out there
Reviewed: 09-27-21
This is my second time through the book. Read several trash books before coming back to this one to remind myself why it resonated so much the first time. Most of the other RE books boiled down to self help pyramid scheme style propaganda BS. Brian explains basic yet important concepts in a concise, practical manner with relevant anecdotal experience. He has no agenda other than sharing the formula that worked for him and makes it clear that it’s not a get rich quick scheme. He takes the time to break down seemingly complicated ideas into bite size pieces so that the average joe can comprehend it. He also emphasizes through the anecdotal experiences good life values to have in order to achieve what he has done. Overall, imo the best comercial RE guide out there even though I think the title of the book sucks.
