Heart Breaking with a HEA
Reviewed: 01-29-22
Look, if you want sexy smoldering Irish Men with a Tragic Heartbreaking story that finally claims the one woman who can fully understand him because she is a BA with plenty of tragedy of her own, then this is the book for you.
Stacy knows how to write a character so vividly; flaws, heroics, love, anguish, every possible emotion, that you feel it with them. Your heart is shattered, you yell at them for being an idiot, you laugh at their antics and you sigh when she wraps it all up and gives them their well deserved HEA.
As someone in the military, with a spouse also in the military... Stacy hits you right at home with all the hopes and fears that her characters face. 7 books in and I keep coming back for more. Though at times she and Justine have me crying as I'm trying to drive... it is well worth it!

Captures Military to Perfection
Reviewed: 07-15-21
Stacey has once again cut to the heart of things with Lantern in the Dark. She has touched on some very dark and yet ever present issues that our military brothers and sisters face every day. PTSD and suicide are too prevalent for any kind of comfort. I literally cried often while listening to this one as being Military myself, it hit on a lot of emotions that often we don't want to face. Things I've seen in myself and things I've seen in others. The story was written very realistically from that standpoint. The romance and passion were lovely and Justine played the characters very well. So glad these books have come to audible!

Story
Winter lasts most of the year at the edge of the Russian wilderness, and in the long nights, Vasilisa and her siblings love to gather by the fire to listen to their nurse’s fairy tales. Above all, Vasya loves the story of Frost, the blue-eyed winter demon. Wise Russians fear him, for he claims unwary souls, and they honor the spirits that protect their homes from evil. Then Vasya’s widowed father brings home a new wife from Moscow. Fiercely devout, Vasya’s stepmother forbids her family from honoring their household spirits, but Vasya fears what this may bring.

Great Second Book in a Series
Reviewed: 01-05-19
I really enjoyed this second installment of the Immortal Guardians. Once one sets aside the rest of their beliefs about the physical world... what's a bit of time travel and extraterrestrials? I was (and still slightly am) apprehensive about the additions of other concepts to my love of paranormal/vampire books... which is why I have only given it 4 stars. I am still going to finish the series because while the world building May differ a bit from what I'm used to... the characters are well written, easily identifiable, and fun to see grow within the story.

There is no way to write a blurb for this final book without spoiling all of the others. Suffice it to say, mysteries resolve, dragons war, pigeons abound, and Julius must risk himself in ways he never dreamed possible as Bob's grand plan finally comes to fruition.

FANTASTIC conclusion to a very engaging series. The characters hook you and emotions grab you and don't let go. A series I can't wait to read and listen to again.

bit slow
Reviewed: 09-10-16
I felt that it was a bit slow over all. Then the jump from "I don't know what I feel" to "I love you and won't live without you" was a bit rushed and forced. Overall a good book but not the best in the series by far.
