Story
Going to Cabin Green alone after the death of his fiancee was Ben's first mistake. His second mistake was tempting fate by saying, "There's no such thing as an evil building." Now he's caught in a nightmare of his own making deep in the woods of Northern Michigan. Even worse, a family history of mental illness makes it impossible for him to know if the ghosts haunting the cabin are real or all in his head.

Story
The Nightingale House is a new beginning for widower Daniel Price and his young daughter, Caitlyn. After months of grief, this will be the place where they start their life as a family of two. But something is wrong - Daniel can’t settle. There’s an odd, cold feeling in the master bedroom, and a mysterious dripping noise that seems to move from room to room. Whispers of I can’t sleep echo through the corridors, long into the night.

Too much

First, the narrator read this like a 1969's cop show. Staccato and cold, amd the coices were pretty terrible. As for the book in the story itself… It's just over written. Why he felt he needed so many words to tell such a simple, basic haunted house story is beyond me. It became tedious and painful. I don't think that the story was particularly in good, he never explains why the wife felt like she belonged in that house. I kept waiting for some sort of connection between the wife and the story, but it never came. The story was nonsense.
