What did you love best about No Is Not Enough?

This is a book I would hand to anyone who wants to add depth and breadth to their understanding of the moment. It's concise, but expansive enough to define our context and the various strains in our culture that lead us here.

Any additional comments?

Brit Marling was an inspired choice for the reading. Her voice is clear and calm and fit the tone of the material perfectly.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I'm trying to make the most of this recording.

What did you like best about this story?

It's a well written book with just enough clarity for the lay person.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

He's not a bad narrator, but seems more suited to historical fantasy novels than science writing. Get Scott Brick on the case!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

So far I've had to keep rewinding to orient myself.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of John Meagher?

Scott Brick would be my narrator of choice. His voice is well suited to this sort of book.

Any additional comments?

It seems like there is a good story under the poor narration, but I can't get into it despite listening for over 3 hours so far. If this weren't the beginning of a 9 part series I wouldn't be sticking with it, but I see that book 3 ushers in a new narrator so I may press on.

The reader's voice is too high, his accents and individual voices are unconvincing, and he speeds through the story as quickly as he can. I don't know what sort of book this voice would be suited to, but not a thriller like this.
