Story
Economies are deeply complex systems. The marketplace involves many economic actors behaving in rational and irrational ways, sustaining a dizzying array of interconnected activity. Because of the number of participants involved, the unpredictability of their actions, and the sheer variety of possible actions, some degree of economic uncertainty is inevitable. In 24 practical and empowering half-hour lectures, The Economics of Uncertainty takes the mystery and dread out of uncertainty, giving you the tools to deal with risk in every phase of your life.

good technical read, author opinions misguided
Reviewed: 02-23-18
this was a pretty solid technical read. unfortunately the authors opinions largely reflect an upper middle class upbringing and there is a large lack of genuine comprehension or realistic assessment of actual economic issues of the day (climate change and student loans are essentially written off as joke issues, running against the entirety of other lectures)
Unfortunately, while technical data is good, author speaks embarrassingly out of turn when comparing the data reliability of physical sciences to that of social/economic sciences, and these arguments are used to argue against regulation of any kind in favor of free markets. Again, a good technical read, but I wouldn't use this author for any advising on future economic outcomes.

Story
An unprecedented high-level master narrative of America's intelligence wars from the only person ever to helm both the CIA and NSA, at a time of heinous new threats and wrenching change. For General Michael Hayden, playing to the edge means playing so close to the line that you get chalk dust on your cleats. Otherwise, by playing back, you may protect yourself, but you will be less successful in protecting America.
