Story
Dirt is a story about the places where we start. From a single-wide trailer in the mountains of rural West Virginia to the halls of Yale Law School, Mary Marantz's story is one of remembering our roots while turning our faces to the sky. From growing up in that trailer, where it rained just as hard inside as out and the smell of mildew hung thick in the air, Mary has known what it is to feel broken and disqualified because of the muddy scars leaving smudged fingerprints across our lives.

Story told and narrated with an interesting cadence, Mary reflected on incidents on her life and what it taught her looking back as an adult. Mary grew up so poor and her father worked so hard. Both people prevailed,

Story
Following the death of her husband, Lady Darby has taken refuge at her sister's estate, finding solace in her passion for painting. But when one of the house guests is murdered, her brother-in-law asks her to aid the insufferable Sebastian Gage - a fellow guest with some experience as an inquiry agent. While Gage is clearly more competent than she first assumed, Kiera isn't about to let her guard down, as accusations and rumors swirl.

Loved this book great narration.

The story took place in 1830 Scotland. Some reviews had a problem with the story because the language is full of anachronisms. I enjoyed this book because the characters for an outsider appear to live in this idyllic place and life. Yet Lady Darby is a social outcast due to the actions of her late husband. Alana, Lady Darby's, older sister, has to host a party and provide overnight accommodations to a group of people, many she does not like, and who are rude to her sister. This does not happen today with the middle-class the United States. I found this mystery entertaining and interesting. Heather Wilds has a lovely voice and does a fabulous job with the narration.

Story
When the historic Hopkins ferry was raised from the bottom of the lake, who would have thought they were literally raising the dead! But there it was—a skeleton—right before their eyes. Unfortunately, the evidence is slim and soggy: the boat sank in 1949, the victim on board was a woman, and near the body is a piece of unidentifiable lacelike fabric. Sounds like a job for Betsy Devonshire. Betsy knows there's more to this story than what’s on the surface.

Story
Margaret Mitchell was as complex and compelling as her legendary heroine, Scarlett O'Hara, and her story is as dramatic as anything out of her own imagination. Indeed, it is the basis for the legend she created. Gone with the Wind took the American reading public by storm and went on to become one of the most popular books and motion pictures of all time. The book was a phenomenon whose success has never been equaled, but it shattered Margaret Mitchell's private life.

The Life of Margaret Mitchell: author Gone with the Wind

This book had amazing details about Gone with the Wind author, Margarett Mitchell. I understand how she wrote the book. Where the book came from and who the author was. This biography was as interesting to me as the fictional book, Gone with the Wind.
