Story
Elizabeth Lesser believes that if women’s voices had been equally heard and respected throughout history, humankind would have followed different hero myths and guiding stories - stories that value caretaking, champion compassion, and elevate communication over vengeance and violence. Cassandra Speaks is about the stories we tell and how those stories become the culture. It’s about the stories we still blindly cling to, and the ones that cling to us: the origin tales, the guiding myths, the religious parables, the literature and films and fairy tales passed down....

Story
In Purple Cow, first published in 2003 and revised and expanded in 2009, Godin launched a movement to make truly remarkable products that are worth marketing in the first place. Through stories about companies like Starbucks, JetBlue, Krispy Kreme, and Apple, coupled with his signature provocative style, he inspires readers to rethink what their marketing is really saying about their product.

Seth GODin - no coincidence…
Reviewed: 12-06-22
I think it’s no coincidence Seth’s name is GODin. The down-to-earth, fount of knowledge is endlessly in touch. Always a delight to dive into Seth’s tremendously generous insight & hope that some of it rubs off on me eventually…

Fascinating dive into our use & perception of the human voice.
Reviewed: 12-04-22
Lake Bell has made a brilliant audiobook (Pushkin Industries seem to be making a habit of producing exceptional audiobooks…) diving into our use & perception of the human voice.
It’s full of fascinating insights by voice acting pros & harnesses an essential message of inclusion.
Highly recommend for anyone interested in international anglophone culture & making this world a better place… :)

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Setting the bar for audiobooks!
Reviewed: 02-19-22
Being an avid listener of a plethora of podcasts, including Pushkin Industries’ array, especially Revisionist History, here, Malcolm Gladwell & team have set the bar high for audiobooks.
What a fascinating subject brought gently to light as an orchestra of instruments gradually integrating varying sections.
Highly recommend this particular audiobook to anyone who would like to know more about the interconnected nature of humans living in an organised, modern society. A striking reminder that everything is connected.
