Story
Drakkon, Book 1: When Daiyu is summoned with dozens of other girls to potentially be the Emperor's concubine, she doesn't think that she'll be chosen. Although beautiful and kind, she's hardly qualified to be with the emperor, whose name is stained with blood and whose reputation is blacker than sin. Yulong, Book 2: Meifen is a seductress - an assassin with flexibility. She finds purpose in being a shadow for her empire, especially during the times of war.

Book 1: Drakkon — Great Story; Poor Narration

Book 1: Drakkon
I have read the original book Drakkon and was excited to hear it was available as an audiobook. I must sadly report that I was sorely disappointed by the performance of this story that I loved so much in book form. The narrator of the book was very clear spoken and easy to understand in my opinion. However the performance lack dynamics and there was little character distinction. This lead to a bland read of a really action filled and exciting book. 10/10 recommend READing this book, I just don’t recommend this narration. To be clear: the narrating voice sound extremely similar to the MC (a woman) and the MC sounded just like the love interest (a man). I would love to hear another recording where there is greater dynamics in the performance and with a narration that provides a clear distinction of characters.
