This really hit home and gave me lots to think about. Will probably listen to it again.

Not good
Reviewed: 09-30-23
The first book was just bad. Main character was not likable at all and not realistic. Nothing happens…. No murder, nothing. So boring. The second was shaping up like the first and I couldn’t finish it. I gave up… hope the 3rd was half decent for those who made it there, but I didn’t really like the narrator either so I couldn’t get to it.

Maybe it's a Southern thing
- By UpAndAway on 09-02-21
Story is not bad. Narration ruins it, though.

I didn’t mind the stories, but the narrator’s fake southern accent is awful. Nobody talks like that in the south. I also didn’t like that the author felt like she needed to explain everything. There were lots of parts to the story that were unnecessarily explained. I probably would have enjoyed reading the books bc I liked the characters—just couldn’t get past the narration.

Enjoyed the twists, but very graphic
Reviewed: 11-28-21
The story is interesting, but for me it was ruined by lots of graphic details which I found unnecessary. It would have been much better without the gory details. Wouldn’t listen to any more of hers as I assume they all have that slant. The mystery was good and the reader was very good.
