Fabulous!!

I've tried just about every way out there to learn Italian, including studying the language in college and even living in Italy for a few months. I learned a lot of the technicalities but couldn't get to the point I was comfortable putting it all together. This system is by far the best I've ever tried and is finally getting me where I wanted to be. He gives simple, practical direction on verb conjugations and you learn quickly. I'm onto level four now and feel like I'm finally putting the language together after just two weeks listening to this system on my commute to work. I'm more comfortable speaking than ever before, and just so happy I found this. Fabulous language system at a fabulous price!

Story
From the outrageously filthy and oddly innocent comedienne and star of the powerful 2015 film I Smile Back Sarah Silverman comes a memoir—her first book—that is at once shockingly personal, surprisingly poignant, and still pee-in-your-pants funny. If you like Sarah's television show The Sarah Silverman Program, or memoirs such as Chelsea Handler's Are You There Vodka? It's Me Chelsea and Artie Lange's Too Fat to Fish, you'll love The Bedwetter.

Still undecided on Sarah, but enjoyed the book!

Before downloading this book, I'd never been sure if I loved or hated Sarah Silverman. I didn't follow her career much, though most of what I'd seen from her was funny. Nothing that made me love her though. Possibly because her comedic style is elitist and maybe even a bit designed for you to hate her. Regardless, I gave this book a shot. The good news is I really enjoyed the book! (Glad I got the audiobook instead of reading this, there were a lot of punch lines that made me think 'I wouldn't have read it that way.') The neutral news is that, even after five hours of listening to Sarah Silverman talk about Sarah Silverman, this book left me pretty indifferent on her. Which, for die hard fans should be a big plus, because she's clearly true to form in this one! Very interesting and entertaining to hear about her 'non-Harvard' path into comedy. And the obligatory childhood chapters were actually some of my favorites - which is almost never the case with these types of books. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving it a listen...even if you're not sure.

Story
Jenn Corbin appeared to have it all: two dear little boys, a posh home in one of the upscale suburbs of Atlanta, expensive cars, a plush houseboat, and a husband - Dr. Bart Corbin, a successful dentist - who was tall, handsome, and brilliant. But gradually, their seemingly idyllic life together began to crumble. Bart was distraught and Jenn seemed disenchanted. Then, just a few weeks before Christmas 2004, Jenn was found dead with a bullet in her head, an apparent suicide....

Very thorough and interesting look at this case. Overall it's worth a listen and interesting - especially the PART I. Toward the end, it started to lose my interest...I felt the story started to bounce around a bit and did lose my interest a few times. (I also listen while driving, broken up in 30 or hour long increments.) Although I got a bit turned around a few times keeping up with some of the characters, etc. I thought it was well done and well-written. If you enjoy murder mysteries or Dateline-eque stories - I would definitely recommend it.

I wish there was more of this book - I could have listened all day to former SNL castmates and writers sharing their experiences. At the very least, you'll walk away from this highly-entertaining read with a new respect and admiration for Saturday Night Live. For the audio version, some contributors to the book are combined so hearing the same voice read for multiple characters could be a bit distracting at first. However, well worth getting past! Great behind-the-scenes look and highly-entertaining listen.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend - it's entertaining, yet written more beautifully than you would except from your average celebrity memoir.
What does Rob Lowe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Lowe appears to write and speak honestly about his experiences - which are many - and his voice is captivating.
Any additional comments?
Not only kept me interested but also made me think - a great listen overall!
