Story
Grant Botma provides a step-by-step guide to help you harmonize the personal and professional parts of your life so family and career work together and complement one another. Most books about balance tell you how to work less. In this audiobook, Grant provides practical examples you can use to cultivate harmony, respect, and love among you, your family, and your job. Your work is meaningful not just because it helps you provide for those you love, but because it’s important to you.

Made for people with families - not young adults

The author is a religious man (and let's you know it) who assumes that you are struggling balancing work life with family life. As a single young professional looking for guidance harmonizing my personal and professional lives, this is not helpful. Promising title, but mainly for people with families to care for.

Makes me want to work at Facebook!

As a young manager myself, this book was exactly what I needed. I am so impressed with how concisely and eloquently she detailed the basic characteristics that you need to have as a manager. The lessons that I’ve learned in this book I am able to apply immediately at work and I feel much better about my impact on my team day-to-day. If you are looking for guidance on how to be the best manager you can be, I highly recommend this book.

Story
Scott Galloway teaches brand strategy at NYU's Stern School of Business, but his most popular lectures deal with life strategy, not business. The Algebra of Happiness: Notes on the Pursuit of Success, Love, and Meaning draws on Professor Galloway's mix of anecdotes and no-BS insight to share hard-won wisdom about life's challenges, along with poignant personal stories.

Too bland and unmotivational for my taste.

All Wisdom, no fluff
Reviewed: 11-08-21
This is lesson after lesson from his life. There is not much fluff between the lessons and each chapter is a bite-sized header for the lesson within it. It's exactly the type of self-help book that I like to read and done wonderfully. I highly recommend it.

GREAT Reader really contributes to the story
Reviewed: 10-30-19
I generally don’t buy books that the author didn’t do the narration for. The reader here, aside from sounding a bit like Ed, really sold me during the sample and continued to until the last minute of the book. The excellent performance and very interesting mix of personal and technological story makes this an absolute recommendation from me. Even if it does put me on a list.
