It’s definitely in the horror genre, but highly enjoyable and riveting every step of the story. It’s worth a credit for sure.

Interesting characters and a good premise without the weight of “seven eyes”. Good comedy. If only Syfy picked this up....

While some facets of the plot are predictable, the character development and exposition was beautifully done with nuance and layers. It’s like if a Michael Bay movie was possessed by Hitchcock. The horror is medium “spice level”, I’d say no scarier than pg-13

If you have watched plenty of “science” TV, you already are aware of most of these concepts and can move on. Only half a chapter was dedicated to magnetic fields. I was really disappointed that I was not challenged by new and difficult content.

On the North Pole of Pluto there stands an enigma: a huge circle of standing blocks of ice, built on the pattern of Earth's Stonehenge - but 10 times the size, standing alone at the farthest reaches of the Solar System. What is it? Who came there to build it? The secret lies, perhaps, in the chaotic decades of the Martian Revolution, in the lost memories of those who have lived for centuries.

Great characters, don’t look for closure

KSR has grown on me. Despite his sharp left turns in plots, and the sometimes disappointing and less than heroic realistic conclusions to some stories, he is enthralling to read. His flawed characters striving for more mixed with hard hard science make for a great binge weekend. I hope that the ship of fools gets its own book.

Great plot and premises, but the overuse of fore-shadowing and the abrupt end, took away from what was brilliant in the story.
Good zombie lore with feasible pathology and physiological interesting points.
Expand the ending and fine tune character introductions and its a good book.
Top marks for the narrator!!!

The Big Bang is all but dead, and we do not yet know what will replace it. Our universe's "beginning" is at an end. What does this have to do with us here on Earth? Our lives are about to be dramatically shaken again - as altered as they were with the invention of the clock, the steam engine, the railroad, the radio and the Internet.

More fluff than science
Reviewed: 04-15-13
This book is not for those who like fiction and non-fiction blended and still called non-fiction. I found it highly distracting and highly questionable that the author started off every chapter with little stories about ancient people. I became instantly turned off to how I was forced to sit through subjective thought exercises as to how humans may have perceived time in the past.
Occasionally the author actually got into science, verifiable, not dumbed-down science and it was wonderful until he went into his next stories. Being a history "buff" I also found the stories highly questionable as they did not have archeological facts behind them.
If you are new to the topic of time and prefer more fantasy with your science, this is the book for you.
If you are already familiar with cosmology, and general life sciences, STAY AWAY. This book will insult your intelligence and keep teasing you with good science among fiction.
I will be seeking to return this book.
