Story
Dr. Bernie Siegel guides you through a series of positive statements spoken as audible and subliminal affirmations to help you attain a feeling of well-being. Introducing affirmations to your conscious self may at first generate resistance. But by listening to subliminal suggestions, you allow positive affirmations directly into your subconscious.

half bad synthesizer!!
Reviewed: 01-06-08
The first half of this audiobook is just fine. It is what it says it is - calming affirmations. But I was totally shocked when I realized that the affirmations had stopped after about half an hour. Now I realize that this is audible & subliminal, so you should listen to the recording while awake and 'absorb' the subliminal affirmations. Fine, I accept that... So I looked at my iPod and figured it out: the affirmations stopped 29 minutes and 35 seconds into the recording. So for the next 30 minutes I listened to just simple, repetitive, synthesizer music. And you know what? I would have been OK with it had the music been in any way calming, or at least BEARABLE!! But from 36:32 until 46:06 it was a horrible rendition of Pachabel's Cannon (a song that I adore when nicely performed). But this recording did nothing but repeat the main "chorus" of the song again and again and again and again. Ok, seriously!?!?! 10 minutes of that theme again and again is torture!!! My brain locked onto this rhythm and couldn't help "singing along"... and so for those 10 minutes I actually got stressed just listening to that insipid repetition again and again! I had to turn the recording off. It was torturous, not relaxing!
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
