I haven't finished this story, and I'm not sure I can..... I bought it after I had listened to the Parasol Protectorate and Custard Protocol and loved both, although the former is a much better narration. The conversation is super stilted, and it's made so much worse by the production. When the narrator does an American accent, it's not the bad accent that bothered me so much as the horrendous, monotonous, flat way the narrator expressed it. The maid sounds like she's an unprepared actor reading the lines out of a play. This was a real disappointment :(

Do NOT rub frostbite

Reason for a one star rating is misinformation about how to treat frostbite. Do NOT rub it at all. Author should have done more cold weather research. Not much character development. They have internal thoughts, but the introspection is not developmental. There is also not much excitement. Walk, talk to ppl. Walk on the ice, fall, walk some more, fall again, walk some more, seriously, for a third tome, fall into the ice.
