good selection, poor recitation
Reviewed: 09-06-24
If you were to know 50 and only 50 English-language poems from Western Civilization, this collection would be a good selection. The recitation, however, is awful, and you would be better reading and reciting it yourself even if Englisb were a second-language to you.

Story
Awe and exhilaration—along with heartbreak and mordant wit—abound in Lolita, which tells the story of the aging Humbert Humbert's obsession for the nymphet Dolores Haze. Lolita is also the story of a hypercivilized European colliding with the cheerful barbarism of postwar America.

A Goodbye, words of love

Irons brings the story alive. Performance perfect. Story disturbingly beautiful. This must be read AND heard.
