Story
Here is a gripping account of the major postwar trial of the Nazi hierarchy in World War II. The Nuremberg Trial brilliantly recreates the trial proceedings and offers a reasoned, often profound examination of the processes that created international law. From the whimpering of Kaltenbrunner and Ribbentrop on the stand to the icy coolness of Goering, each participant is vividly drawn.

Captivating beyond just WW2 interested
Reviewed: 09-06-22
While it’s an amazing in-depth look at the trial from every conceivable angle, this book is much more by asking the question: how do you hold a fair trial for a group representing evil and presumed guilty by all. The account looks at the lengths the court went to make sure there was as fast and commonly accepted verdict by all parties. It also touches on the human elements such as how did those involved in the trial keep entertained at night or what solution was developed for instant simultaneous translations. What a great read

Story
Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster. Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them.

Lead makes all the wrong choices

Great premise.. but the lead character just continues to make stupid decision after stupid decision to the point where it slips outside the realm of possibility.

Amazing story, Tough narration
Reviewed: 08-20-21
I loved the content of the book but found the accents that the narrator would attempt really jarring to the listen. Everything sounded like a pep talk which is not enjoyable to listen to for so long. BUT the writing was fantastic, and even not being a big rugby fan, found it so inspirational.

Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Great short story
Reviewed: 04-29-21
There are many negative reviews based on it being a short, and I agree that I’d like to spend more time listening to the storyline unfold the mysteries.. but it’s a short and leaves it to the readers. Well performed as well.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Great characters, pacing a bit slow
Reviewed: 11-22-20
A very insightful look through the eyes of an alcoholic. Strong character building. The story’s pace was a bit slow though and the narration was better on 1.1 or 1.2. Also a shame the two voice actors sounded similar at times. Overall a nice mystery!
