Story
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

Now, in this fascinating memoir, the Soviet KGB agent tells his story of gut-wrenching choices, appalling betrayals, his turbulent inner world, and the secret life he lived for years without getting caught.

Very good real life spy story, well written
Reviewed: 06-14-21
Real life soviet spy story with lots of authentic information about selection, training and embedding of a foreign spy in USA. Well written, quite a novel, despite being documentary. Starts with future spy's childhood, but it is rather important in order to become familiar with his personality and family history. Really engaging.

Missing PDF
Reviewed: 07-24-20
It is regrettable, that PDF with visual references is not included with the book. Author repeatedly sends listener to his website for necessary visual information, but that website is truly unusable and just persistently tries to lure you in more subscriptions. Poor job!
