I enjoy all of Edward's books, The Magpies was a really good book. This short sequel was entertaining but too short! I'm looking forward to the final book.

Intense and emotional
Reviewed: 04-13-18
The story is very emotional and unsettling but it’s not far from reality. It’s not a book for the faint heart, but it’s a good read. I was surprised, I was thought I had it figured out and was wrong! I think that’s what makes a good book!

This book is interesting, a little suspenseful and mysterious. Just a little. It’s quite short. It’s an ok read. The ending is meh.

Not what I expected, but ok.. if you’re a teen.

I thought this book was going to be a mysterious/suspenseful read, it is not that at all. It isn’t a bad book, it had me feeling emotional at some points but for the most part the protagonist sounded just plain whiny. It’s a teen book and had I realized that I wouldn’t of purchased it. I can understand the emotion of the main characters hardship but it wasn’t very interesting.

Story
Shrill is an uproarious memoir, a feminist rallying cry in a world that thinks gender politics are tedious and that women, especially feminists, can't be funny. Coming of age in a culture that demands women be as small, quiet, and compliant as possible - like a porcelain dove that will also have sex with you - writer and humorist Lindy West quickly discovered that she was anything but. With inimitable good humor, vulnerability, and boundless charm, Lindy boldly shares how to survive in a world where not all stories are created equal.

Acceptable read

This book was ok. It’s very predictable, I guessed the plot before reaching the halfway mark. I won’t be listening to it again, it’s just not that captivating.
