Story
"Most people think of love as a feeling," says David Richo, "but love is not so much a feeling as a way of being present." In this audiobook, Richo offers a fresh perspective on love and relationships - one that focuses not on finding an ideal mate, but on becoming a more loving and realistic person. Drawing on the Buddhist concept of mindfulness, How to Be an Adult in Relationships explores five hallmarks of mindful loving and how they play a key role in our relationships throughout life.

This is such important reading & it’s given in a beautifully soothing voice. I don’t know what to say other than this is perfection for someone who is curious on how this adult intimate relationship thing works. Underneath self-sabotage & loathing is a need to look in and not point the blame out, one of the gems in existence that I long for all to realize. The performance is great and the insight is priceless.

I’ve been miserable and stuck feeling defective my entire 38 years of life and to actually know *why* has been life changing. If I didn’t find these books, my life would continue to be meaningless and I’d never stop being depressed. This book and her other one are SO important. I recommend a trauma therapist if you’ve never had anyone sane validate you. But there is hope if you want to actually live for yourself finally. I just really still can’t believe the mark CEN leaves on a person..damn.
