It was okay. but I just didn't enjoy the book. It was way too flowery and at certain times I thought slightly inaccurate. He took forever to say things that could be said much simpler and clearer.

decent points, but way to extreme and manipulative
Reviewed: 09-19-22
Overall the book was decent. It made reasonable points about how as men are the head of the household it is more their responsibility to fix the relationship and maybe even better when it works that way.
But he felt the need to make up the most extreme and ridiculous examples that it lost all reasonableness and I constantly found myself saying who is he talking to and where are these people that the entire basis of this chapter which is just crazy town.
He also was constantly talking about how men don't make any effort to understand women and then he had probably the most narrow minded view of women I've ever heard.

Recovering Redemption. What does it mean? Recovering: Getting back, restoring. Redemption: God’s plan of salvation, the gospel. Because we have a tendency to drift from the gospel, we must be reoriented back to the gospel. We must recover a right understanding and application of the gospel. We must see that the gospel is the fuel for salvation and sanctification and the panacea to fix all things. The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
