Great story! I felt it should be titled The Vidalia rather than Sweet Vidalia. (Sweet Vidalia makes me think of the Netflix show Sweet Magnolias) I also wanted her to keep her Vidalia connections in the end. The Vidalia, in my opinion, is what held her up through her turmoil.

The character development of the mother and if each daughter is so perfect. This one hit home for me. I was brought to tears a few times as I can relate to some of it. The narrator was fantastic, she’s quite talented. 5 Stars, I’ll pick it for book club.

Story
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

Elijah Wood was the perfect narrator for this classic tale. I think I read this as a child or maybe my mother read it to me but I wanted to take it in again as an adult. I’m so glad I decided to listen.

This was not your typical Hallmark romance. There were some twists and heartbreaks in Evelyn’s life but that probably made it more realistic. Narrator was great. I was definitely invested in the characters.

This author feels just like I do

I can so relate. I have been buying banned books for a while and just recently decided I would go and put them in the Little Free Libraries in our county. I feel like Kristen does that even though I grew up in the south, I had educated parents who taught me that although there were many different people in the world, none were better than any other. They also taught me that though other religions believed differently, not one was right or wrong, just different. Enjoyed the book. Enjoyed the happy ending. Would love to see it come to fruition.

Story
Cassandra Penelope Dankworth is a creature of habit. She likes what she likes (museums, jumpsuits, her boyfriend, Will) and strongly dislikes what she doesn't (mess, change, her boss drinking out of her mug). Her life runs in a pleasing, predictable order…until now. Then, something truly unexpected happens: Cassie discovers she can go back and change the past. One small rewind at a time, Cassie attempts to fix the life she accidentally obliterated, but soon she'll discover she's trying to fix all the wrong things.

This was a wonderful book! Rooting for her all the way! In some ways it’s the odd lonely girl gets a makeover, but not really; it’s the other way around, Cassandra learns to love herself the way she is rather than changes. I can’t say too much more without giving it all away but it’s so worth the read!!

Mariners Island is barely ten miles long, but when Ivy, Ariana and Cam were teenagers, it was their whole world. Beyond the pristine beaches and iconic lighthouse lies the beautiful old library that belongs to Ivy’s family. While that bound Ivy to the island as an adult, Ariana could not leave Mariners behind fast enough. The town holds too many…memories. Not only her unrequited feelings for Cam, but the tragedy that left a scar on the community. When a young girl went missing, a teenage Cam was unthinkably the prime suspect.
