I really enjoyed this book. Being from Michigan, I’m very proud to be one and now more proud after finishing this. I knew of Robert Rogers, but not this much about him. Yes he decided to be for the British but his spirit was definitely American. The narrator did very well reading the book and was very good with his French. Highly recommend.

This books was good but I know for sure that it’ll be better if author, Dan Flores narrated instead. Book publishers and audio companies or whomever should get that through their heads. Not you Audible. You cool.

In 2013 I got really ill (physically and mentally). So much that the following year it was best for me to change my life around. Lost a ton of weight, moved, changed careers and became a better man. I somehow lost the urge to stay mentally and physically healthy and gain a good amount of the bad vibes back into my life. After listening to Jordan Peterson, I’m k I will be re-reading this book and follow the steps to get back into my good vibes. Thank-you, Jordan!

This is a bad audible book to listen to. I’m a driver so I listen to a lot of books and podcasts. This book right here almost had me falling asleep halfway through!
So bad that I had to stop at a disgusting truck stop in Chicago, grab the darkest coffee, put 10 packets of sugar in it, then debated whether or not to give the ugly lot lizard $20 dollars just to wake me up.
You can tell the narrator was getting tired as well. He’s a bad reader and the book is bad. It could be better if you’re really Christian and love reading books about Europeans forcing Christianity on indigenous people. Do not read.

P.S
I didn’t get the lot lizard. I know my boundaries

I’ve been interested in Indigenous people and the relationship of Europeans during this time so I got this book and listened to it. The book itself was good overall. Very detailed. Narrator Paul Boehmer wasn’t good at all which made the book hard to listen to at times. There are a lot of names of men and tribes that sound so familiar with each other that when he says it (too fast and too much) that you get lost and have to go back and re-listen to it to be more confused at times.

Overall the book is very good and very detailed. I was hoping for more talking about the Old West Territory (Michigan for me) more but didn’t until the very end but that’s my fault for not picking the correct book.

I made a New Years Resolution to read/listen books about Iraq/Afghanistan Wars to better understand what the Soldiers/SEALS went through. This was my 5th book and it was good. Even though it was good, it wasn’t as intense as I thought it was going to be. Chris is an American Hero and I thank him and his family for their sacrifice.
