This is a quick and dirty intro in general physics for us who never took Physics in school. Now at 54 I am taking college classes in Math, AstroPhysics, Physics as a hobby and it adds to my Hobby of Astronomy. Pulp Physics got me ready for the class enviorment and found I was a step ahead of the "younger" members of the classe.

I first read these books while in the Army overseas. To listen to them on on iPod in my Truck and at night as I go to sleep brings back a lot of memories. I have always love Anne McCaffery's writing. She gets you so involved you think you are there on Pern fighting the Thread.

This is a great look to the history of some of the greatest minds in this and last century. It shows the falibility of of the human mind but where one falls short another takes over and expands on the theory of Unifacation, Black Holes and the Birth of the Universe. A great listen.

Don't Waste Your Money On This Book!!!
Reviewed: 08-22-06
I thought I was getting a up to date explaination in layman's terms of Quantum Mechanics and Relativity. Instead I get what sounds like a Tao/Buddist/Eastern Philosophy on Life in the Universe. This is not for someone interested in Physics. If you want to know someone's idea of where you fit in the Universe this is your book.
A wasted Credit for me....
